High & Low-Speed Compression Adjustment
High and low-speed compression adjusters are not preset to anything in particular with vehicle settings when sent from our facility. Let’s start with having both High & Low-speed compression adjusters in the open position to get the most accurate tuning baseline for your suspension. You will also need a High-speed spanner wrench before proceeding, Radflo does offer the wrench part number #TL-CSPAN 6A.
Starting with the Low-Speed Compression Adjuster.
- Please add 1 click of the high-speed adjust so that we can tune the low-speed compression.
- Low-speed compression should be in the firmest position until the desired handling is acceptable.
- For smaller changes, please add one turn & for larger changes, add two turns.
- Low-speed compression is not as noticeable when adjusting.
- Low-speed adjustment can feel firmer as the valve is close to the full firm.
- Please do not fully close the low-speed valve until you have tuned the high-speed compression.
Last Step, High-speed adjustment:
- Adjust the High-speed adjuster until the desired handling is acceptable.
- High-speed adjustment is only done on an as-needed basis, if your base adjustment meets or exceeds your requirements, please disregard the high-speed adjustment.
- Low-speed adjustment can be used as an extra measurement to fine-tune your adjustment.
- High-speed compression adjustments may be more difficult to make due to the compression adjustment being fully firm.
Radflo High-Low Speed Adjustment Tech Tips
- It’s very common to tune your suspension on a safe open space with your Compression adjusters in a fully opened position, it will help calibrate the movement of your vehicle and help if you have any additional weight on the vehicle to tune your suspension accordingly.
- If the vehicle rides too firm and is not comfortable in the fully open position, you will need to contact Radflo Suspension or your authorized dealer to have the shocks revalved before fine-tuning the suspension.
- If the vehicle rides too soft and is not comfortable in the fully closed position, you will need to contact Radflo Suspension or your authorized dealer to have the shocks revalved before fine-tuning the suspension.
