RADFLO WORKS RACE SERIES - INTERNAL BYPASS SHOCKS - WITH DRT
DYNAMIC RIDE TECHNOLOGY (DRT)
Proprietary RST DYNAMIC RIDE TECHNOLOGY Dampers provide both velocity and position-sensitive damping in a single unit, with a progressive ramp-up for comfort and ride quality while also increasing control for bottom and top-out events. This allows the vehicle to float over small bumps and chatter while maintaining that bottomless feeling, even when going fast through the big stuff. External bypass performance in a single smooth-body or coil-over unit provides race truck level control and confidence, no matter your application.

COMPRESSION
COMPRESSION RIDE ZONE
This zone controls the amount of bypass initially introduced on compression and the rate at which the
suspension compresses. This is ideally the middle of the travel, where the piston sits at ride height +/- a certain percentage.
While in the RIDE ZONE, the oil can bypass the main piston through the proprietary DRT valves,
generating minimal high-speed damping. With DRT Internal Bypass Dampers, high flow rates can be
achieved, reducing harshness over rough, square-edge bumps and rocks
This available bypass increases small bump compliance, helping to eliminate chop, chatter, and road
noise while increasing ride comfort and traction over rough terrain. This keeps the vehicle comfortable
and the wheels in contact with the ground to increase confidence and control.
BUILD ZONE
Larger bumps, whoops, and rocks push the piston past the ride zone where damping force builds. The
damper works to adapt to the current driving situation, adding force as necessary to soften bumps and support the vehicle over obstacles.
The BUILD ZONE contains between 1 and 8* DRT Valves strategically placed throughout the travel,
which are individually tunable. Individual compression and rebound channels give unparalleled tuning capability.
Introduce more zone-specific bypass for a larger/more plush ride zone, or limit it to create a more progressive damping build – no matter the application or specific suspension needs, Dynamic Ride Technology provides the solution.
Paired with the RST DRT Tuning Kit, this allows for aftermarket and race tuners to achieve application-specific results, pushing pleasure and race vehicles to their maximum.
BUMP ZONE
At full compression, maximum damping force is generated, smoothly catching the vehicle and preventing bottom-out.
As the vehicle experiences g-outs, holes, jumps, and drop-offs, the piston enters the BUMP ZONE. With
no available space to bypass, all of the oil is forced to go through the main piston. This introduces massive damping forces and supports the vehicle even when pushing it to the maximum. This zone stops harsh bottom-out or g-out events and keeps the vehicle stable as speeds increase and the terrain gets rougher.
REBOUND
CATCH ZONE
A true hydraulic rebound CATCH ZONE keeps your vehicle from bucking due to high spring forces
experienced during a full compression event, increasing stability and control at all speeds. High damping force controls the rate at which the wheel extends, keeping the shock from shooting out
and unsettling the vehicle.
REBOUND RIDE ZONE
This zone controls the amount of bypass initially introduced on rebound and the rate at which the wheel begins to droop. Damping is reduced progressively, providing stability under cornering, braking, and accelerating while allowing the wheel to droop quickly and follow the terrain. This increases ride comfort and helps avoid packing, and keeps the vehicle planted through large bumps
and rocks.
The REBOUND RIDE ZONE contains between 1 and 8 DRT Valves* strategically placed throughout the
travel, which are individually tunable. Control the rate at which the suspension extends, introduce more zone-specific bypass for lighter spring rates and a plush ride, or limit it to decrease body roll and create a tighter feel – no matter the application or specific suspension needs, Dynamic Ride Technology provides the solution.
Paired with the RST DRT Tuning Kit, this allows for aftermarket and race tuners to achieve application-specific results, pushing race and pleasure vehicles alike to their maximum.
TOP OUT ZONE
Finally, the hydraulic TOP OUT ZONE paired with the RST Hydraulic Droop Stop (HDS) act together as
the final stages in slowing down the piston on rebound. Although not a complete limit strap replacement, this zone helps to eliminate harsh top-out noise and forces the suspension can experience.
Limit straps are still required/recommended per application to prevent damage to the damper and other suspension components.
